Why Nomad Guide School

Nomad Guide School delivers more than just training – we forge guides.

Fully BQA and FGASA accredited, our curriculum blends rigorous theory with extensive field experience, led by accredited assessors and moderators who are also seasoned professionals. With almost two decades of guiding expertise, we are deeply rooted in the knowledge and rhythms of the Okavango wilderness, offering unmatched immersion in the environment, wildlife, and cultural heritage of the region.

Training takes place across some of Botswana’s most prestigious wilderness areas — including Nxai Pan, Moremi National Park, Savuti, and the Khwai region, ensuring learners gain diverse, real-world experience in varied ecosystems.

We emphasize safety, ethical guiding practices, and environmental stewardship in every part of the program. Our trainees become fully licensed guides with strong competence in navigation, flora & fauna, nocturnal observation, and guest interaction.
Leadership skills are developed through roles in camp operations, staff mentorship, and managing guest experiences.

At Nomad, mentorship is personal: small groups, individual feedback, and real-world scenarios ensure you don’t just learn — you grow. If you want to be a guide who doesn’t just lead tours, but inspires guests and protects wild spaces, Nomad Guide School is the path.
